Alongside my own Art career I have the privilege of sharing my knowledge and love for creating with my Art students.
I truly believe that learning different Artistic techniques, looking at other Artists work, theory about colour, form, shape and line can only enhance our practice as it gives us the tools to use or the choice not to use them when we are experimenting and creating our own Art.
I have been Art Tutor for last 22 years and until July 2022 I was an Adult Education Art tutor for Adult Community Education at Highlands College in Jersey.
I have the pleasure of teaching ‘en plein air’ Art workshops during the summer where students can enjoy the delights of working outside on our beautiful Island.
In recents times I discovered the joys of teaching to a wider audience via my online Art tutoring courses as well as offering private Art tuition either online or in person when possible.
Excitingly, the Autumn of 2022 saw the launch of my own bespoke Art courses for Adults in our local Island Community. ‘Creating Art with Lisa Troy’ courses in the lovely light airy venue of the recently refurbishment Trinity Youth Club.

Creating Art with Lisa Troy
This course is recommended for Adults with some experience of painting and drawing. During our Art projects we will explore exciting and useful techniques used for drawing, painting with watercolour and gouache, inks, pastel and charcoal sketching. Demonstrations of all techniques as well friendly tutor guidance will be provided during these relaxed creative lessons.
Day: Tuesdays
Time: 10.30am- 12.30pm
Dates: 6 week courses
Venue: Trinity Youth Centre
Cost : £80 (tea and coffee refreshments included)
Maximum number of Artists places: 16
